Mid-Valley Prosperity Network

The Mid-Valley Prosperity Network (MVPN) is a collaborative initiative to increase the financial capabilities of individuals and families.

MVPN envisions empowered, educated families with lasting economic well-being.

The collaborative works in the areas of financial education, asset building, credit building/repairing, and access to capital to achieve the following three main goals:

  1. To increase the wealth and strengths of individuals and families.
  2. To create strong, engaged, and diverse partnerships that are committed to building assets and strengths.
  3. To increase the awareness of and participation in wealth-building resources.

MVPN started to convene in November 2010 and currently has seven active members:

Consumer Credit Counseling - With the collaboration of the partner agencies, we will work with our communities to increase financial wellness and strengthen families and individuals.

Maps Credit Union - Maps Credit Union is a member-owned nonprofit financial institution dedicated to supporting lifelong learning and asset development at all levels in our local community. Our philanthropic and community support activities are centralized in the Maps Community Foundation, which partners with other locally focused organizations to provide high-quality financial literacy training to help all members of our community increase their wealth and foster financial sustainability.

MERIT (MicroEnterprise Resources, Initiatives & Training) - MERIT provides microenterprise training and support in order for individuals to build income and assets. There are many different components to achieve self-sufficiency; microenterprise training and support is just one aspect.  MERIT is proud to be part of the MVPN to increase the self-sufficiency of the individuals and families of the Mid-Willamette Valley by collaborating with high-impact organizations in the region.

NEDCO (Neighborhood Economic Development Corporation) - NEDCO is a nonprofit Community Development Corporation with a mission to help people build assets. We provide education, one-on-one financial goal setting and counseling and a variety of financial resources including Individual Development Accounts, down payment assistance, and microloans.  Work with us to define and reach your goals for financial stability and asset ownership. We are proud to be members of MVPN to help advance the availability and awareness of asset building services and resources in the Mid-Valley region!
