Free information sessions are held several times per year in Yamhill, Polk and Marion Counties. In a no-cost three-hour session, you will learn more about the curriculum and other services available, and will have the opportunity to evaluate your business readiness. At the end of the session you will be screened into the Training classes based on your business idea and your personal readiness to begin.

MicroEnterprise Training

Eliminate some of the risk and anxiety of starting a business! MERIT gives you the essential skills and tools you need to run your business and assists you with writing a business plan.

Our Kauffman Foundation curriculum uses experiential learning to teach essential business concepts to people interested in starting their own small businesses.

After you complete the MERIT class…

MERIT will continue to support you as you start and grow your business for up to two years. You will have access to one-on-one business advising, technical assistance, and scholarships for advanced training in topics like book-keeping, marketing and more! MERIT clients also have access to assistance with market research and finding sources of funding!
